Welcome!

I've always thought Singing Time was a magical time. The best part of Primary. Since being called as Primary Chorister, I've tried to make Singing Time a way to make church and learning a joyful, fun time for children. These are my adventures as Primary Chorister.

Hair Awesome

I'm planning on using this to teach "Seek the Lord Early". I will teach the words, then we'll sing it once or twice. I'm going to have lots of hair accessories laid out on a table and assign a point system. A kid will come up, and he/she will choose how hard they want their task. The task will be to continue singing or saying the words to whatever I sing at them.

For example, I might sing "and he will help me to know the..." and they would have tell me what comes next. That will be one point. If I sing "and he will help me..." they could finish with "...to know the truth". That would be worth 5 points, etc.

Whatever point value they choose, if they get it correctly, they get to use a corresponding hair accessory and 'dress up' my hair. I have fairly long hair, and I'm really not worried about them messing it up, since as long as I don't include scissors or anything that generates heat, I'll be fine. Maybe do some extra conditioning the night before so that getting out knots will be easier :)

I'll have a leader take some pictures after they dress it up on Sunday!
